Who buys company documents for AI, and what they ask for
Updated
Buyers of company data increasingly name documents alongside chat and tickets. Their own pages say which files they want, how an owner starts and who keeps the rights.
Ask about my company archive Most platforms we read leave the files with you, but the ownership of each document and the company's own status decide what can be sold. Tell us what you hold and we will write back.
The ones that name files
Grepped wants docs, contracts, reports, slides and PDFs, the written record of what an organisation knows and how it works. Mode buys documents and files as working materials and company knowledge, and Troveo takes document contents with their authorship, versions and timestamps.

Who keeps the rights
Troveo says ownership never transfers when it licenses on an owner's behalf, License Your Data says the owner keeps every original and the copyright, and Polyshares that the company keeps the business and the underlying data.

Companies that are winding down
Turing's Project Lazarus asks for wikis, runbooks and schemas, the working record rather than the finished product. SimpleClosure's AssetHub lists workspace data from companies that are shutting down: communications, documents, designs, tickets and workflows.
